Just over a year old and half the screen is dark, called customer service and since its over a year the suggested I buy a new one. The customer service is not really service. Unplug your tv and hold the power button for 5 seconds and then plug back in....... That was there helpful tip on magicaly fixing a 2000.00 dollar tv. Unbelievable. Guess I will just buy the cheap ones and throw them away yearly.

When going to one channell to the next channell it turns off. It will come back on in ten minutes by itself. This should not be happening .I should be able to enjoy this tv for many years. Waste of money. Never buy another vizio tv. Cheap parts and should not be in business. Too many people are complaining about their tv.

I have bought and have 4 Vizio TV's over the past 4 years, the 70" over a year ago. The tv remote stopped working the this tv and even though I am a great customer, Vizio will not replace it as a one-time courtesy. Vizio does not care Bout their customers.

Same thing has happened to us now. We purchased our TV back in July of 2015.

The volume worked yesterday morning (May 2nd) and I turned it off when I left the house. Well when I got home and turned the TV on it had no volume. We have always had LG or Samsung and never had a problem.

We wanted a bigger tv for our living room and this one was on sale for $800 as well and it is just a piece of ***. I would love to get my money back but I don't see that happening.

Details
Vizio does not provide firmware updates for their products, and without them, your product eventually becomes useless ('eventually' can be measured in months) since digital rights management software keeps changing constantly. I'll will never purchase another Vizio anything, I recommend you avoid them too. There is no manual way to update the firmware either, so even if some generous geek made one and made it available to us all, you could not install it. Vizio needs to fire whoever is making these decisions, because they will not get repeat customers.
