Cord doesnt fit

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The sound bar is ok but the cord to the sub keeps losing the connection. Its fitting is just loose doesn't fit tight and I feel they knew it wasn't right but sold them anyway. I don't think I should have to keep buying one until I find one that works.

User's recommendation: take it out of the box at the store and try the cord before paying and leaving the store

60 inch tv not working properly

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I purchased a 60 inch Vizio on Oct. 1 2018. A month ago the sound started going out for up to 30 minutes at a time. After resetting tv and charging HDMI cord I was told that there was a problem inside the television and my warranty ended 6 months ago. I was told that I should have it repaired, but no idea how much it could cost. Never again. Do not purchase this brand.

Bad quality of the Visio smart cast tv’s

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Vizio - Bad quality of the Visio smart cast tv’s
I have a 60 inch Vizio SmartCast Tv that is 3 years old and the picture quality is no longer acceptable. It has developed a purple color across the entire display making it impossible to see the picture in bright or dark scenarios. I own 3 other Vizio TVs that are good old fashioned TVs in the sense of no smartcast or smart technology and have great picture quality. Not to mention they are all over 13 years old. I was very disappointed that all I was offered by supervisors at Vizio was a 20% off discount for the same exact tv. In addition with some of the bs trouble shooting required by their techs my HDMI cable was broken and no mention of sending me another one especially when I feel they knew that unnecessary step was not going to fix my lcd display. I had always heard great things about Vizio but now after this experience I will not be buying another Vizio SmartCast tv. I just want to share this with anyone that might not be aware of the quality of Vizio now that their TVs only last about 3 years.

Poor product and bad customer service.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I purchased a Vizio 65 inch Model V655-G9 TV yesterday on April 10, 2020 Initially it was working fine but then after it did a firmware update to 2.50.21-3, I lost the ability to watch free streaming TV but I was able to watch antenna TV. The next morning I tried to access the free TV but was unable to do so; this time I was having difficulty getting back to the antenna channels and the TV was blank; the menu and input buttons were working intermittently until it wouldn’t work at all. I found that unplugging the tv for a few seconds after turning it off then plugging it back in and quickly restoring it to its default settings I was able to restore the antenna tv channels. Needless to say I thought checking for further updates may solve the problem. It did a 2step update. This time I couldn’t access the menu functions, it was just blank. I followed the instructions as to not turning it off during the updating process and waited for it to reboot. I went on line to talk to a representative concerning this problem and he sent me a request to show how well he performed and then he waited for me to respond but I was unable to type in my request (no characters were displayed as I typed.) So I set up another chat conference concerning this. I eventually got a response saying we lost contact and he gave me a phone number to call and gave me a VIZIO Case number. I called their number and said that due to the pandemic that they were closed (I thought I just chatted with someone.) So I went on line to see if anyone else had the same problem. I found that there has been a lot of similar complaints concerning their product and customer service. There is definitely something hokey going on.

Avoid Vizio TV’s

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Feb 29, 2020

i’ve arranged to give this defective TV to the local brew-pub with a sign on it stating “This an example of Vizio quality and customer support,”

Original review Feb 29, 2020
I bought this POS TV from Newegg in August, 2019. It was supposedly factory refurbished, but right out of the box four of the five HDMI inputs were dead and did not pass a signal. Vizio agreed to send out a tech and after waiting a month (for parts I was told) the tech showed up, alone, to install a replacement HDMI board. I had to help the tech dismount and remount the TV since he came alone. All is well, for a month, then the HDMI inputs (didnt matter which one) would lose its signal after about 30 minutes and go black and I would have to reboot the signal source to get the HDMI signal back. This problem was not source related as this problem appeared when I tried running the HDMI output into the TV from multiple different different sources (BluRay player/Apple TV/Roku/Firestick/AV Reciver. Vizio said they would ship me a replacement TV (refurbished) and this took another month. I made a delivery appointment for a specific date and time, and thought nothing more of it until they called me a week BEFORE the scheduled delivery. They said the were in my driveway and could I come to the door and let them in? Normally, I would have accommodated them, but when they called I was 200 miles away at a medical appointment. When I asked what happened to the delivery appointment, the driver blamed their scheduler. So a week later they show up with my replacement TV. The transition from the defective TV to the replacement TV was painless. All was finally well, I thought. Until about six weeks later, multicolored vertical lines appeared on the right size of my screen, and similar multicolored horizontal lines appeared near the top of my screen. I couldnt believe what a bad run of luck I was having with Vizio TVs. I reported this problem and was asked to take some pictures of this screen defect and email them in. I did so, and thats when things really got worse. Vizio said their company techs had determined these lines were from screen damage I HAD DONE TO THE SCREEN, AND AS SUCH, they had no further responsibility. That was it. When I asked how do I appeal this, they hung up on me. I of course had never damaged the screen, and now Im stuck with a defective TV. What I learned from this ordeal is to buy a Samsung next time.

Avoid "factory refurbished" regardless of brand. That means there was something wrong with it.

Factory refurbished = USED ; possibly abused, defective, mismatched, anything.

No matter what anyone says, they can't make such a thing new again and you can't expect a NEW product warranty. You got the unsatisfactory one a new equipment buyer returned for refund or replacement.

Television stopped working after 1 year. Paid to have it professionally hung on wall.

Absolutely no damage. It is in a room never used. It has been watched less than 40 hours. Nothing has ever been attached to it.

It Is connected to wireless Internet.

I called tech-support. It was difficult to understand the rude foreign tech with many people in background talking at their call center. He asked me to connect another device. I don’t own another device.

He advised me to call back when I buy another device???

1st pic- the TV before I called tech

2nd pic- the TV after speaking to tech

I have owned several Visio televisions that were used daily for more than 10 years. This is first issue I have had.

Unless Vizio provides a way for customers to communicate with the company to seek recompense or protect the customer from an inferior product I will not purchase Vizio ever again.

Never buy Vizo

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I just bought this TV, got it set up and find out that I can not use smart cast because I live across the border in Mexico. And even if it did work I still could not use it, because I have to have a smart phone to "cast" to the TV. SO now I have to pack it and drive back across the border to return it to Costco! Will never buy another Vizo product again.

Terrible quality and warranty service

Vizio - Terrible quality and warranty service
Vizio - Terrible quality and warranty service - Image 2
Extremely disappointed in my first, and last, Vizio purchase. My $1400 65" TV (p659-g1) died after 6 months and can't be repaired. By the time I get the replacement, I will have been without a TV for an entire month. To make things worse, I am not getting a new replacement -- I get a 're-certified' model. They say it has been fully tested and is as good as new ... but they only provide a 90-day warranty, not the full year like a new model gets. That's terrible service, Vizio, and if you don't trust your own products to perform the way they're supposed to, why should I or anyone else?

Vizio is not the most reliable brand of telly. Best to pay a little more for one that is.

That's just the way it is.

Do some research and find a major brand that is reliable and has good customer service. There are but a few nowadays.

Almost impossible to find replacement parts to repair a Vizio TV

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My Vizio P65-E1 is a high end flat screen which cost $1600. The main video motherboard unit failed within two years. My TV service company and I have searched all the usual sources for parts and have been unable to find a replacement. I was told a refurbished part may become available sometime in the future. I'm surprised, pissed off and very disappointed that no spare parts are stocked and my expensive TV is unusable for who knows how long.

Bought a 50 in and a 24 in tv. The 50 in lasted almost 3 years and boom screen went out. Then the 24 in tv stopped accepting updates and wont work. $1600 in junk tvs in my basement. Customer support is atrocious and you can never understand what they are saying, countless hours on hold. Ill never purchase another vizio product again and do not recommend this brand at all

DO NOT BUY VIZIO!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
TV started flickering every 1-2 seconds. After spending 20 minutes turning off and unplugging TV and pressing input button on remote, the customer service rep (who’s foreign accent was extremely difficult to understand) advised that we needed to get another cable (not sure what or why), plug it into the TV and call them back. I was not willing to waste more time so I plan to replace the TV with anything other than Vizio!

Just be careful what you buy to replace this telly with. Those cheap brands like Vizio, HiSense and Element sold in big box stores are unreliable. Buy a name brand for a little more and it will last alot longer.
