Can you rate this a zero? First TV would not connect to Smartcast after 5 months.

Had a tech out to change the motherboard. Tech experience was HORRIBLE. Original TV stopped connecting to Smartcast AGAIN AGAIN after 2 weeks. This was considered a failed repair and a "refurbished" TV was delivered.

The delivery company made me help bring the TV in and it was just dropped inside my house without testing. I plugged it in and it wouldn't connect to Smartcast. I rebooted my modem and it worked (all other devises already did). This happened 3 days straight, so I called tech support.

I was told I would have to go through the same process again since it was in warranty.

Obviously, they will just rotate TVs until you are out of warranty. I just consider this a "sunk cost" at this time and won't buy another Vizio and suggest you don't either.

UPDATE - A "manager" named "Ray" called and left a message while I was working. I called back about 20 minutes later stating when I was available (a 5 hour window).

"Ray" obviously couldn't be bothered to call back. Not shocked.

For about 2 years my TV worked fine now I'm in the third year of ownership and the *** thing doesn't want to turn on doesn't want to turn off the watch free and going to the antenna is impossible this TV is a piece of crap the channel up and down doesn't work right nothing works right on this TV it's a piece of crap I will spread the word to never buy a Vizio Smart TV to everyone I know I've already put it on Facebook DO NOT BUY A VIZIO TV do not buy a Vizio TV as you can see from the picture below my TV has no picture yet it has sound if I shut it off and turn it back on I'll suddenly have picture and sound but I won't be able to change the channel

Go to settings and reset to factory settings. If that doesn’t work, make sure top and bottom of batteries touch is clean.

Try new batteries. Try universal remote.(usually around $20)

Purchased new Vizio summer 2022 for my home office. Remote is very slow to respond.

I changed batteries and still same problems. Slow internet connection even though the router is in the same room. Do not have this problem with 2 Samsung TV's in other rooms of the house. Cannot use all apps including Freevee which is the one I watch most.

Constantly freezes during the day and I sometimes have to disconnect completely to reset it per Vizio's customer service help. Now at 6:30 am when I am trying to login for work, I turn on the Tv and I have no signal, apparently I can't use my TV until I read and agree to Vizio's updated terms. I assume I am agreeing to accept the poor quality of this product.

I will never buy anything from Vizio again especially another television. I do not need a follow up from Vizio I just want to give others a heads up so they do not waste their money.

Dealing with Vizio,Walmart ,and Allstate which Walmarts protection plan is through Allstate . They all have been giving me the run around since May. I want my money back. And I will never purchase anything Vizio or electronics from Walmart ever again. This has been a complete nightmare .

Ridiculous update

bought for a good price at walmart. worked acceptably as a smart tv for a few years. an update in the fall of 2023 broke that. incomprehensibly the updated set would not reliably connect to basic cable. instead, in addition to a now minutes long boot up process, it would attempt to launch a watch free channel upon powering on. customer support was no help and offered no fix for the update. reset it to factory settings. now it does work as a plain tv again. not planning on buying from vizio again.

It's like the people in charge are afraid to talk and answer to customers that support them. *** they're not that busy. Always make you put in information that is not necessary to just ask a question They make you go back to to back of the tv when it's not necessary,make it so difficult that you throw up both your hands and say *** it I'll figure it out own my own. I don't like being treated like l need a secret code to get an answer to a question Does anyone else complain? Chat ask the same *** what model it is when we know they haven't changed much of anything since their inception
