Vizio - Review from Newark, Ohio

This company has the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. We bought a "55 tv for my parents after owning three Vizio tvs myself. Paid over $800 for this tv to have it quit working months later. We called and battled it out with this people on numerous occasions where nothing was ever resolved. Then they wanted pictures taken from this link and sent to that link, receipt info, wanted the tv taken places, and then finally after several people and several phone calls they brought us a replacement tv that we were told was in perfect working order. A few months later here we are again with a tv that is black and will not turn on. They are saying the warranty is over and therefore they will not be doing anything to service the tv or us. The warranty is over from the original tv, yes, but this is the replacement tv that we were told would be fine. I was then told they can't guarantee when a product will be faulty and that their percentage of that happening is extremely low yet here we are with now two tvs that don't work? Yeah, seems like chances are very low and I just happened to get the only two broken tvs you've made. I use to talk highly of this companies tvs and I recommended them to several people. Well, no more. I will NEVER purchase another tv from this company and I will make sure anyone I know doesn't either. Bad business travels way faster than good. Sincerely, Ex-Customer

Vizio in New Madison, Ohio - Visio Br133 software no longer supported

1.0
Details
I bought a Visio 3d TV with a Visio Blu Ray disc player. I just loaded a disc and the unit tells me I need an update before it will play the disc. Visio web site doesn't even list Blu Ray players and there certainly isn't any way to navigate their ridiculous web site. There is a live chat option that, like its equipment doesn't work either. Rather you end up sending an email to someone that couldn't care less about your issue. They obviously think that if they no longer support their equipment you will run right out and buy their latest and greatest version but rest assured I will tell everyone I know, meet, talk to, email, Face book, tweet, instagram, or linked in that they are not a reputable company and DO NOT BUY ANY OF THEIR JUNK. I only post this way because if I posted how I really feel about this two bit, *** of a company the moderator would not allow my post to stay on the message board.

Vizio only works with SOME HDMI devices

1.0
Details
My Blu-Ray player won't work with my Vizio. Other HDMI devices will work with it, but my 1080p Blu-Ray player will not. Vizio support team says that there are some compatibility issues, and that I should set the Blu Ray player up with a different TV so that I can use it on my Vizio. WHY WOULD I BUY A VIZIO IF I NEED TO SET IT UP WITH A NON-VIZIO TV??? A Support Executive at vizio told me that sometimes this happens and there is nothing that they can do about it. Well, first of all you can stop advertising that you work with HDMI devices and start advertising that you work with SOME HDMI devices. Secondly, you can make it right with the customer. But they were unwilling and probably unable to do so. DO NOT BUY VIZIO

VIZIO RUNS AWAY on "OUT of WARRANTY" ISSUES

2.0
Details
Brought a VIZIO 42 SMART TV from WALMART, two BIG MISTAKES, November 2013. This week, MARCH 29, 2015, the TV displayed a large, horizontal grey line on the screen. BOTH Walmart and VIZIO said it was "OUT of WARRANTY" and NEITHER could or would do anything to solve the issue. VIZIO, in my opinion, should be removed from store shelves like WALMART, COSTCO and SAM'S CLUB IMMEDIATELY!!! Just because VIZIO is a low cost unit, it should still last more than 14 months? Please, be aware! Both WALMART and VIZIO have lost my business forever...you can learn from my own personal mistake!

Had the exact same issue with my Vizio 60 inch tv. Worked great until it was barely of warranty and then dead pixels and lines started appearing all over the tv.

I'm mean I'm talking just days past the 1 year warranty. Contacted Vizio and was told tv was out of warranty and they weren't going to do anything about it. Called local tv repair shop and was told it would cost the same to repair as buying a new one because they had to replace the screen itself.

So I'm out a $1000.00 on a pos tv that I barely had a year. Will never buy another tv from this company again.

Vizio TV E550i-A0 Cracked Screen from Poor Quality Control
DO NOT BUY A VIZIO TV, unless you want to throw away your hard earned cash! I purchased a Vizio TV, Model # E55i-A0, in November, 2013. 9 months later, it is broken, beyond repair. On a Saturday night, my husband and I just finished watching a movie on DVD, when I...

Same thing happened to me TV under warranty and after showing pictures to video they determined I had a cracked screen after I asked them to put that in writing they refused so I sent them another picture of my TV on the wall and their final statement was the screen has separated from the trim cause by an outside force. I have also complain to the Better Business Bureau and will keep you updated on the outcome

VIZIO VHT215 Home Theater Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer shipped incomplete

The sound bar was purchased for our apartment in Chicago, Il. It was purchased online from Amazon and the order was fuliflled by Trendy Gifts. When we visited Chicago in late January we took possession of the package which had been delivered (unopened) to the package room of our condominium building in early January. When we opened the package we found that the mounting brackets were missing. Otherwise, the unit functioned properly, but we wanted to mount the speaker baron the wall beneath the Vizio speaker. When we returned home to Ohio after the weekend, I called Vizio to ask for the brackets. I was told that without the serial number and proof of purchase (which I have), they could do nothing for me. Luckily this past weekend, we had friends in Chicago who agreed to go to the apartment and get the serial number. Unfortunately the number that they copied down was apparently not the correct one as I was informed when I again called Vizio customer service today. The company simply refuses to satisfy its customers by completing an incomplete order and are falling back on a policy that is onerous and designed to benefit the company at the expense of satisfying a customer. The small metal brackets are worh maybe 10 cents but are spawning a major complaint from an otherwise satisfied. customer
