Vizio in Greensboro, North Carolina - Piece of ***

Freezes up and the only way to get it going again is to unplug and plug back in. All apps are sluggish. If you contact their clueless support that is somewhere in India they are completely less than helpful, If you can even understand what they are saying. I started checking other reviews online and this has been an ongoing issue with their junk for over 10 years and nothing has been done about it. Save yourself some time and money and buy anything other than vizio

After 1 year and 1 month $900 Vizio TV no longer works

1.5
Details
The TV no longer powers on at all. It is completely dead. It has been 1 week since I wrote my original experience, which is detailed below: Had a Vizio E600i-B3 60" TV for 1 year and 1 month. It's now a worthless piece of junk that works for 5-10 min. at time. The TV is defective and shuts itself off while viewing. All auto-off settings are disabled. I have contacted Vizio and they were no help. They told me to reset the TV by holding the power button on the back, and said that this is all the help they can give as the TV is over a year old. This issue began a few months ago, after only 8 months of modest usage, but it was not a problem as it took several hours before it shut off. Now it has rendered the TV unusable. We didn't even know it was an issue with the TV itself, until it was too late. I have tried resetting multiple times, resetting TV settings, using different inputs. Nothing helps, the TV is defective, and Vizio does not support it. Also the fiber optic audio input is not seated well on the board as attempting to remove the cable from the TV ripped the fixture right off the circuit board. Without excessive force. I'm extremely disappointed with Vizio, and the unbelievably poor quality of this TV. I'm even more disappointed in Vizio's apathetic customer support and their unwillingness to help. They repeatedly told me it was not a known problem, and that they would provide no help even though it was only 1 month after the 1yr warranty. Even after providing them with online statements from Vizio themselves about recalling TVs for the exact same issue. The picture is great, but it will not last. Vizio will not help.

Press the V button on the remote, go to HDTV settings>system>system information>at the bottom Service check and click it. Turn off tv for 3-5 minutes, turn back on and got to HDTV stettings>system>reset and admin>reset to factory settings and click ok

When it turns off and on it will say "updating __ of __ files" Let it finish that...fixed

@Anonymous

Sorry, that would have fixed the tv when it was shutting off every several minutes, not a dead tv

Same here. 1 year 1 month tv is dead.

They said it was like a car that had problems after you bought it. Sorry it cant be fixed they said.

So my 85 year old mother just doesn't understand why a $800 tv only last a year. So much for buying us made.

Vizio in High Point, North Carolina - POOR customer service and quality

VIZIO has the WORST warranty and attempt at customer service, followed closely by Manna Delivery/Distribution! Bought a 50" smart TV. 2 days later had to take back/exchange due to defects. 2nd TV had several issues - made several calls to Vizio/tech support. Remote batteries had to be replace every 7-10 days, TV did not respond, etc. Was watching TV and it went off. One it it went off and wouldn't turn back on. Called Vizio. TV was under warranty and this began my ordeal 7+ weeks ago. Been trying ever since to resolve. I was promised an upgraded replacement in 5-7 business days, delivered, set up and would take the old TV with them, and I thought wow, they are great at handling this. I thanked the person on the phone and felt they would come through. Manna had possession of my replacement TV, which was at the local delivery company for over a week just 15 minutes from my home. Manna stated they only schedule to my area one time a week at a specific time. Vizio refused to let me pick it up from them myself even when I begged because I was having out-of-state company for Thanksgiving and we are big football fans - wanted to watch the games. NO, they have to 'set it up for you, we have to have them bring it. A month after much hassle and many phone calls Manna scheduled 'special after hours delivery' so I could get it. Delivery people refused to schedule on a day I had off of work with an open time frame because 'it is scheduled for after hours delivery' and we can't do that until Friday night between 4:00-6:00, the time was supposed to be after 4:30 which is the soonest I can get home from work. I finally get a non-functioning TV after more than10 more phone calls, delivered at 1:30 in the afternoon a month after my first call. Here begins replacemnt # 2. I tried to set up the TV and connect to the internet - couldn't. Tried again the next day. My tech savvy Son-in-law came over the next and attempted - still no. I called Vizio, talked with customer service and two different tech people - still didn't work. Called bake again, talked to tech and customer service and was told they need to replace the TV. Due to all the problems with 1st exchange when I called about getting another I was offered 'expedited shipping' on another TV with guaranteed delivery by 12/4 - still waiting. When I did not receive it the next person said they don't even have expedited shipping, but promised this would be resolved and no matter the day - weekday/weekend, up to 10:00 at night they will deliver ASAP. Again told normal turnaround is 5-7 business days, but could be 5-10 days and it had been 4 calendar/2 business days. Received a call saying delivery would be 12/16 8-4:00. After calling Manna back, again, I was told - that is our regular delivery schedule and we have no information telling us you have after hours delivery. So I'm expected to take a full day off of work to wait for possibly a working TV - I think not. After 7 more Vizio calls I get another delivery call from Manna that it will be Monday 1-5:00 pm because of the 'special after hours delivery' request, as the regular delivery window is 8-4:00. Really! Next Monday will be day 22 of this 2nd 'expedited/special delivery' which is supposed to take 5-7 business days. I requested a full refund - it was denied due to not enough attempts to provide me with a working TV even after excess of 20 phone calls, being hung up on, having to re-explain everything to each person answering the phone, begging for someone with power/high level manager, told 'they are busy will call you back', having to call Vizio then Manna, then Vizio and back and forth to no end. I was told by a Vizio agent 'What more do you want?! We've already apologized to you and I already told you we are having it delivered as soon as the delivery company receives it with authorization for after hours.'

Vizio in Calabash, North Carolina - No support

I purchased a Vizio VBR333 3D Blu-Ray Player a little over one year ago and now when I attempt to play a disc I receive a red error screen stating the "Blu-Ray Player requires a firmware update to view the disc". My Blu-Ray player is connected to the internet so I performed a manual download of the only update available from the Vizio website and still received the same error code. I called Vizio customer service and spoke with a Vizio representative who informed me that he has been answering many similar customer complaints for the past month and added that the Vizio player "will not be updated and will not continue to work with all discs." The representative further explained that "Vizio had a hard time keeping up with the firmware updates required by the Blu-Ray industry so as a solution they (Vizio) discontinued manufacturing their Blu-Ray players" and they "will not support" their past product line. This is an outrageous breach of trust by a company that many considered "reputable"! I don't understand how they can stay in business, regardless of the type of product being manufactured, after demonstrating a willingness to turn their backs to an entire customer base.

Vizio in Greenville, North Carolina - BRAND NEW TV W/ BLACK SCREEN

1.0
Details
Tv was purchased Jan 2015, the screen went black at the end of June 2015. Took the VIzio appointed repairman 3 weeks to come fix it. One week later the same issue again. it has now been 2 weeks waiting on the replacement tv they said would only take 6-10 business days to receive. Vizio says they shipped the tv and the shipping company has it the shipping company says they don't have it. No one is giving the same information making for an aggravating experience. I would advise anyone reading this to STAY AWAY from vizio product unless you like having headaches and giant decorations (because that's all the tv will be because you wont be able to use it for its intended purpose)

Vizio products are ***

I have 4 vizio TV's all flat screen lcd's. Within 1 week of the warranty expiring 2 of the tvs stopped working within 4 days of each other. Vizio customer service was no help at all. Now my 47" vizio gave a hdmi error screen after working for almost 2 years......I unplugged it and tried to restart it but it will not even power up now. Vizio refered me to a tv repair shop that wants 300 dollars to repair an 800.00 tv that is less than 24 months old. Also the customer service at vizio is horrific...they spent more time advising me that their quality was the best in the industry and that my experience was not reflective of their products quality!...Really??? 3 out of 4 TVS go bad but that is not reflective of quality??? Wow. Spend the extra money and get a better quality brand.....it will be worth it in the long run

Vizio 50 inch hdtv,

Poor product,Would not recommend, Loses the H.D. channels and will not let you scan for channels if you do not have a signal you also cant change channels without a signal. Its great when it works but that should be all the time but its not. I am thinking of getting a converter box to connect to the analog side of the set so i can view programs without having to wait hours before the set decides to find a signal.Tv is just out of warranty and support said they where really sorry for me.Thank You
