I bought a 55" Vizio television a year and a half ago. The television started showing bright colors, as the colors move around in a haywire manner, makes a screeching noise, then turns off. The television will do this repeatedly after watching television for several minutes or more. I contacted Vizio to repair or replace the product, to no avail. Apparently, Vizio will only back their products for 1 year and do not stand behind their name or their products. I am completely dissatisfied, I have never felt so ripped off in my life. I cannot believe that I trusted this company enough to spend close to $600, just to be out because of a merely 6 extra months passed by.

55 inch HD received as a gift, picture went out in less than 2 years. I always was interested in this product because the picture looked very crisp. The price was about the lowest you could get for a TV this size. I received this as a gift for my birthday because I had an old one that was on its last leg. I hinted around that a TV was what I wished for. Less than 2 years later the screen just went out, no noise, no issues with anything else. It turns on and I have great sound but nothing else. I've read all of these complaints and it seems that the Vizio company is selling lemons to maximize their bottom line. I hope they are sued and go bankrupt.

Vizio in Jacksonville, Florida - A complete 360

On another consumer watchdog website, a previous customer reported a run in with a so-called Customer Escalations manager named Josh (Badge 721). They said he basically said that they were out of luck. Well, I am here to tell you that after two calls to Vizio regarding the sound bar we bought less than six-months ago that just stopped working, I have had the same experience with Josh. I told him that both previous calls had told me that replacement would not be a problem. His reply was that, "People make mistakes." Sure, they do. But, as I pointed out, when two of a company's representatives say the same thing, most companies worth their salt would try to foster goodwill and make it right for the customer. Apparently that just is not the case with Josh and Vizio. He said the company was not in business to give things away for free! Really!? All of the nice things that I previously said about the courtesy of Vizio's employees, the customer-centric approach, and the ease of assistance have gone down the drain because of this one employee. And, apparently, I am not the only one that feels this way. I quote from another complainant, "...he (Josh 721) continued to say that vizio had over 50 million clients,,so i guess i mean nothing to vizio at this time,,and it made me feel like vizio did not care." To that complainant I say, I know how you feel.
