I purchased the E55-D0 because I like the smart tv concept. After a year I’ve found that the only way this tv works is that you must have an internet connection and a smartphone if you want to watch it.

My internet connection was down for about a week due to ISP issues and the tv kept shutting off saying no supported inputs. Then I got a new smartphone and forgot to install the SmartCast app on it and the tv did the same thing. SHUTDOWN!!! For anyone that lives in a severe storm prone area, this is unacceptable!!!

If internet is down due to storms and I can’t see the radar and local news because the tv shuts off and have a TORNADO coming at me- well you get the just!! Bad for vizio!! Can you imagine the lawsuits?????

There is nothing on the box anywhere that says you MUST have an internet connection and smartphone to operate this tv!!!!! Shame on vizio.
