Optical cable will not come out of the back of the TV

I woke up one morning and the sound bar would not work. I called technical support. We tried several things. Finally she told me to take out the optical cable from the back of the TV. It just would not come out. After trying for a long time she basically told me it was my fault because I must of put the cable in wrong. It is not rocket science. Take cable put it in the hole. I mentioned that it might be a manufacturing problem since all I did was put it in the correct hole and now it will not come out. No she said there is nothing she could do, because somehow I caused the problem by taking the cable and puting it in the correct hole. Anyway I had my reservations when purchasing the product and now I am paying the price. Do not by a vizio, because you are always going to be at fault and they will not be, even if it is as simple as puting the optical cable into the optical hole ( a cable the supplied by the way). If you do decide to by vizio then have a representive from the company come out and attach all the wires so they can't blame you for doing something as basic as putting a cable into *** *** can you put the cable into the hole incorrectly? It will only go in one way and anyone with a junior high education know not to force it in if it is not going in. So disappointed with them. What what goes around comes around. A bad company will eventually pay the price and go under.

I purchased a Vizio E550i 55" smart tv in January of 2014. Eighteen months later and this TV will not turn on without giving an error message of "retrieving data" or "no signal" every time you try to turn it on. It will take as many as 10 - 20 tries of turning it on then off and repeat before it will accept a signal from any source. Vizio support is useless in resolving this issue. Practically the first thing they asked was if I bought an extended warranty. Apparently they know they are selling sub-standard junk that will not last much beyond the manufacturers warranty. They were willing to send a technician to diagnose and repair the problem for $337. This on a TV only 18 months old and that originally cost $700. And then they don't offer any guarantee on how long the repair will work. That makes this a very expensive mistake of a TV. I will not pay to repair this POS but I will replace it with a quality name brand instead. I will never again buy any Vizio product and I will be very vocal in my dissatisfaction with this brand to anyone who asks.

To whom this may concern: I purchased a Vizio 55 inch 3 dimensional TV about a year ago. I live in one of the most active States for lightning. This TV stated that had a lightning surge protector. Plus I had a lightning surge protector on the outlet the TV was plugged into. The TV was not even on when the lightning took the TV out. I feel the TV should have been better protected against lightning especially when its not even on. So now all I have is a 55 inch piece of junk. I am a disabled grandmother with few thrills in life left the TV was a gift I wish I could replace it . It was my pride and joy. I understand lightning is the act of God and I'm thankful for the TV being where it was placed because if it wasn't for the TV the Lightning would have traveled to my bed which I was taking a nap. So I'm thankful for that. if there is any way that I can replace it please let me know . It hurts my heart to have a TV that big sitting there. Thank you for your time. Do not buy Tv vizio, does'nt work after 2 year, No service to repair here in Canada! Cannot find any repair Man here If the warranty is expire! No Help of any kind from them to help me find someone to fix it! The customer service can not help you even If you talking to a manager after 2 hour waiting! No techical support or they don't know what to say to you! There's nothing i can do! They don't even want repaire even If i send it back! So that ***!!!! So costumer don't buy this ***! You Will regret it! This is my message for the compagnie! don't sell your stuff here in Canada If you ca not Provided the service after the selling!

Tv was purchased Jan 2015, the screen went black at the end of June 2015. Took the VIzio appointed repairman 3 weeks to come fix it. One week later the same issue again. it has now been 2 weeks waiting on the replacement tv they said would only take 6-10 business days to receive. Vizio says they shipped the tv and the shipping company has it the shipping company says they don't have it. No one is giving the same information making for an aggravating experience. I would advise anyone reading this to STAY AWAY from vizio product unless you like having headaches and giant decorations (because that's all the tv will be because you wont be able to use it for its intended purpose)

bought 70' smart tv screen went out at 14 Mo I have 3yr warranty 30 days later and still no tv no word never going to buy again!!! not happy with the whole process I have no clue when I will get a replacement from sams club!!!!!!!!!!!!!no no no no no visio sucks sams sucks what is the reason I have to write at lest 100 words to tell how I got screwed this site sucks to 100 words is to many as tyou can see now my time is being wasted all I need is four more words gotit.

Poor audio and no technical support

Bought a E Series and audio level was terrible with volume going up and down. When the feature is turned off, volume was so low, to obtain enough to hear, it was turned full open. I tried adding external amplified speakers to output mini jack and could barely hear any sound. When I called tech support, they were no help and wanted me in install a DVD or game unit which I do not have nor would ever use on this TV if I had them. My resolve was to return to store and buy a Samsung. Have had no problems!

I never buying or supporting any vizio tvs anymore especially after they are trying to force everyone to buy new tvs just to watch YouTube, as they intentially took it off and they call it an upgrade. Nope not me and i hope everyone else does the ssme and throws all vizio products out the door.

Vizio 2014 50" Ultra 4K Tv = JUNK

Purchased TV new and within 8 months TV has gone black (no screen) Called service dept and was told someone would contact you in 4 days. It's been 8 days and still no one contacted me. I had to contact the service tech myself and still do nat have a date for repair. If you want to save yourself time and frustration, stay away from vizio junk. There product don't even hold up for a year. I see I'm not the only one that have been having issues with their products. JUNK JUNK I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A VIZIO PRODUCT AGAIN!!!!!!

Two horizontal thin line that goes 2/3 of the screen

We bought Vizio 70" LED HDTV at Best Buy back 1/6/2014 for $2200. 3 days ago notice a thin horizontal line across the screen covering 2/3 of it then faded off. We checked all the cable connections, nothing worked. 1 day later another line pops up. Called Best Buy, told us no luck since we didn't buy extended warranty & Vizio only covers 1 year warranty. For this much money we spent on a TV it should last more than 5 years at least!!! Today called a repair man to check it out, & he stated that Vizio is a *** product. A lot of issues with their products & Vizio doesn't seem to do anything about it. Good business for him but bad for consumers. He has not fix the TV yet due to he need to contact Vizio directly about issues. If it is repairable. Upon reading "Consumer Affairs" OMG there are 1,337 current issues & complains about Vizio products! Going thru the complaints, issues, & how they were treated by Vizio's Customer Service Department, I'm gonna have to say my $2200 down the drain! I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANY VIZIO PRODUCTS!! I am the 1,338 customer Vizio lost & I will let everyone that I know NOT TO PURCHASE ANY OF PRODUCT OF VIZIO

I bought a Visio 3d TV with a Visio Blu Ray disc player. I just loaded a disc and the unit tells me I need an update before it will play the disc. Visio web site doesn't even list Blu Ray players and there certainly isn't any way to navigate their ridiculous web site. There is a live chat option that, like its equipment doesn't work either. Rather you end up sending an email to someone that couldn't care less about your issue. They obviously think that if they no longer support their equipment you will run right out and buy their latest and greatest version but rest assured I will tell everyone I know, meet, talk to, email, Face book, tweet, instagram, or linked in that they are not a reputable company and DO NOT BUY ANY OF THEIR JUNK. I only post this way because if I posted how I really feel about this two bit, *** of a company the moderator would not allow my post to stay on the message board.

VIZIO RUNS AWAY on "OUT of WARRANTY" ISSUES

Brought a VIZIO 42 SMART TV from WALMART, two BIG MISTAKES, November 2013. This week, MARCH 29, 2015, the TV displayed a large, horizontal grey line on the screen. BOTH Walmart and VIZIO said it was "OUT of WARRANTY" and NEITHER could or would do anything to solve the issue. VIZIO, in my opinion, should be removed from store shelves like WALMART, COSTCO and SAM'S CLUB IMMEDIATELY!!! Just because VIZIO is a low cost unit, it should still last more than 14 months? Please, be aware! Both WALMART and VIZIO have lost my business forever...you can learn from my own personal mistake!

Had the exact same issue with my Vizio 60 inch tv. Worked great until it was barely of warranty and then dead pixels and lines started appearing all over the tv.

I'm mean I'm talking just days past the 1 year warranty. Contacted Vizio and was told tv was out of warranty and they weren't going to do anything about it. Called local tv repair shop and was told it would cost the same to repair as buying a new one because they had to replace the screen itself.

So I'm out a $1000.00 on a pos tv that I barely had a year. Will never buy another tv from this company again.
